Self Portrait and Portrait Info

1. My first favorite tip is jumping shots. The photographer suggested they try some ‘jumping’ shots. The subject was a little hesitant at first but stepped out into the uncomfortable zone and dressed in his suit and tie started jumping!

2. My second favorite tip is unfocused shots. As photographers we have ‘sharp focus’ drummed into us as an ultimate objective to achieve in our work – but sometimes lack of focus can create shots with real emotion, mood and interest.

3. My third favorite tip is framing the subject. Framing is a technique where by you draw attention to one element of an image by framing it with another element of the image.

Environmental Portraits:

1. I like and chose this photo because I like the subject's expression and how he almost looks surprised to see the photographer there and I feel like this photo shows more of that environmental feeling then a lot of the photos that I saw.

1. I like and chose this photo because I like that the subject isn't looking at the camera and is just doing his own thing and again I like how it looks more natural and that this guy looks more like he's doing something that you would see everyday.

Photography Self Portrait:

1. I like and chose this photo because I like how you can see her above and below the water line and I also like how this photo makes you feel like its trying to tell a major background or personal story.

1. I like and chose this photo because I like how they used the black and white, along with the color in the photo and it is a very unique way to have put the color into the photograph along with such a simple background and facial expression to add more to the photograph.

Casual Portrait:

1. I like and chose this photo because I like how the light comes from the back and you can see how it lightens up her hair while she still stays at normal light and I like her position and how she just pops into the photo.

1. I like and chose this photo because I again like how the light hits the background and makes it glow and stand out more and I also like how the background is a big part of the photo and how you can see everything like the background and subject.

My Self Portrait and Portrait:

I don't exactly know what I will do for everything for my portrait assignment. But I do know that I want to capture that person, and I mean that I want to show who that person is and what they like to do, so maybe I shoot them as an environmental portrait. Then for the self portrait again I want to capture who I really am and that almost might be hard but for my photo I want to do something very unique. One because that is how I really am so I won't really do a casual portrait, but maybe again a environmental one to show a different side of me that you might not see unless you really know me. For me I might be outside because I love nature and how lovely it is and maybe bring my cat in because she is a big part of me too. Also maybe I will might some weird face because that's just what I do. So I don't know right now but i'm sure it will be better than what I said.
