Nut graf
In journalism a nut graf is a paragraph that explains the context of the story. A nut graf also puts the story in context and tells the readers why the story is important. To many editors the nut graf is the most important part of the story because it tells the readers why they should continue reading the full story. A nut graf serves as many different purposes such as justifying the point of the story by directing readers to supporting material that helps readers see why the story is important. Also nut grafs provide a transition from the lead to the rest of the story. Finally nut grafs tells the readers why the story matters at this point in time. A nut graf is also a paragraph or sentence that summarizes the essence of the story without giving every detail.

sensory overload
1. I think that the quote is very inspirational and moving but I don't that it is completely true or isn't true for many areas. As a young photographer I feel as if, that if this is our society today it will be harder to capture those magical and important or special moments that we see in current photography today.
2. When looking at the photos it does look like an interesting place to visit but its hard to get the urge to go there if all that is shown is the same type of color in the stores and same type of photo.
3. I feel like it would be a different and more cheerful type of situation for that child because of how much money it seems that these people much from the shops and how joyful the images look.
4. My favorite photo can be described as colorful, small, crowded, and one. The image is of a small shop with a bunch of colorful flowers hanging down from the ceiling and walls to make the shop look crowded even though there is only one person there selling only one type of item.

self-portraits vs. selfies
1. A selfie is a self portrait taken with your phone.
2. A self portrait is a portrait that an artist produces of themselves.
3. The difference between a selfie and a self portrait is self portraits show more depth and feeling then selfies do. While selfies show more of your emotion during that certain when you took the photo.
4. I prefer self portraits because they show more of your creativity and hard work that you did just to take the photo and they show yourself in a different and unique way.
5. I think that both selfies and self portraits hold the same value because selfies can often capture special moments or memories that happen(ed) at that certain time while self portraits don't do that. Self portraits are also important because they often show a deeper emotion that you want to express in a way that selfies can't.

7. The intention of DIY photography website is to show people how other photographers are taking photography and making it into their own thing. They wrote about different photographers taking photos of simple and complex things that are taking over the photography world. Also they talked about photographers who are making new ways to take photography to the next level. I think that one thing an average viewer can get from this website is how photography are making up their own and unique way to take photos and make it something simple complex or use it to help make a change. I would add this website to my bookmarks because I feel as if it helps open your mind to new possibilities and ways to be more creative with the next photos you take. I would recommend this website to someone else because it is something that you don't think about because you don't see these kind of photos everyday so I think that these photos help you open your mind up to new ways to take photos in photography.
8. I learned about how people feel about selfies and self portraits. Also I learned the difference between selfies and self portraits and how they show different emotions and express the person's feelings in different ways. My favorite photo that I found is below. I like this photo because the photo looks different than many other photos but has a very special and valuable meaning behind it. The photo is of a blind bride who is getting to feel her wedding day photos because of a multi-sensory album that was made for her.

Phobia Project
1. A phobia is a irrational fear to something.
2.
2.
- Spheksophobia- Fear of wasps
- Lygophobia- Fear of darkness
- Iatrophobia- Fear of going to the doctor or of doctors
- Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia- Fear of the number 666
- Dentophobia- Fear of dentists
3. I will probably do photos of the phobias for heights, darkness, and going to school . The heights photo will be taken vertical from a high point looking down with the subject not being a person. The darkness photo might have someone in it and will be taken in a dark area inside or outside. Finally the going to school will be an alarm that says get ready for school thats going off. Some techniques I want to use are rule of thirds and hopefully lines and balance and finally simplicity.

2019 welcome back
This photograph is one of my favorites of the year because you can see the disaster happen in action and how much damage it is causing.
This photograph is also one of my favorites of the year because of the lighting in the photograph and how her hair takes over the photo.
This photograph is another one of my favorites of the year because it a sweet and sad photo of two friends and the photo really easily shows that.
1. I think that the best song of 2018 for me was natural by imagine dragons. I chose this song because in 2018 I saw them in concert and that was the first time I had heard the song. I think it was the best of 2018 because it came out in august so near the end of the year but it was still really popular and still is.
2. I think that the best movie of 2018 was paddington 2. I chose this movie because I absolutely loved this movie and its special effects. This movie was the best of 2018 and I think that is true because of how spectacular the movie was.
3. I think that the most important news story of the year was the Florida school shooting. I chose this story because it made people think about gun safety and if it should be changed to help make people safer. I think that it was most important because it was a major across the country and left many people shocked.
4. I think that the most important person of 2018 is Christine Blasey Ford. I chose her because she isn't some big political figure. She is helping to make change and a difference to many peoples' lives. I think she is important because she is a symbol of empowerment for many people.
5. I think the biggest entertainment person of 2018 is Ellen DeGeneres. I chose her because she is that kind of person that many people love and she is really funny. I think she is the best of 2018 because of her popularity and the way that she brings smiles to people's faces.
One thing that I will remember from this holiday is my trip to San Antonio. I'll remember it because we really got to explore and see the city.
My resolution for 2019 is to work on a resolution for 2020.
For 2019 i'm really looking forward for the fresh start of a new year and new beginnings.
